BYGS

Bourne Youth Girls Softball is a non-profit youth organization created to provide an opportunity for girls from Bourne in grades 1 through 12 to play softball. The objectives of the league are to develop skills and interest in the game of softball, as well as to promote teamwork and good sportsmanship. We strive to provide a positive environment in which the girls can learn the game and enjoy healthy athletic competition.

In order to help achieve these objectives, we have established three programs to accommodate the various age groups within the league. We provide an Instructional League for girls in 1st and 2nd grade, Minor League for grades 3 - 5, and Major League for girls in grades 6 - 8. We also offer a summer traveling program for 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U divisions. Use the links on the left to learn more about our programs and sponsors, find information for players and coaches, locate a field, or look up a league contact.

Bourne Youth Girls Softball is a member of the Amateur Softball Association.

Players are separated into groups and rotated throughout our facility. The clinic features stations designed to teach a different skill taught by our instructors in their area of expertise as well as supervised game play. Our instructors will focus on the mechanics of hitting and bunting and conduct a detailed point-by-point inspection of swing and will correct any flaws or problems. This program is open to any girl Grade 4 thru Grade 9. Participants are to have their own glove and proper athletic clothing. They are a great way to get ready for the spring season while having some fun! Participants are to have their own glove and proper athletic clothing.

We need your help. Volunteers needed!!

In order to run the winter clinics effectively, we need volunteers every Sunday to run the drills. Without enough volunteers, we cannot hold the clinics! Please volunteer for at least one Sunday during your child's session. Thank you in advance for your support and participation!
